One of our world's loveliest, wisest, entertaining and informed people, David Attenborough, was the subject of my brief news reading this Monday morning. @the_newyork_times
As someone living in a rural bush house with stand alone solar ( yes, running a fridge and freezer even on cloudy days!), rainwater tanks, a business called 'Gleaned' where I make jewellery and small artworks by upcycling 'throwaway' materials, no commercial council rubbish collection, small vegetable garden, compost bins, I believe we need to listen to what David Attenborough knows and says about his (and our) beloved earth, don't you?
I haven't time to sit and read more. I'm off to take my (seemingly unavoidable) soft plastics into the @redcyclebyredgroup bins then shop @thesourceerina and check labels for palm oil (or whatever they call it) when I shop in the supermarket.
No, not "holier than thou" because I can still do better! Just disappointed and saddened at those that bury their heads in the sand whilst having the power to do something. And...glad that David Attenborough exists! The documentaries referred to are 'Life on Earth' and most recently 'Our Planet'.
