I do normally recommend wholegrain bread BUT I’m gluten intolerant (if you don’t already know 🤣) and a good wholegrain fresh loaf doesn’t exist so I opted for a nice @warburtonsgf tiger bloomer 😊 ✅5 INGREDIENTS ✅UNDER £5

INGREDIENTS:- 1️⃣ 1 tinned @johnwestuk tuna in spring water @tescofood

My partner whipped up this lovely dinner tonight. So grateful. I'm not feeling well, so have been parked on the sofa this evening.

Sauteed mushrooms and kidney beans with onion, garlic and spices - served with roasted sweet potatoes. So warming, delicious and nourishing. 🌿 "Sweet Potatoes are an incredibly nutritious food that are packed with antioxidants like beta carotene, vitamins C, E & D, and minerals such as manganese and iron. Another amazing meal out. Look at all the different plants! 😍 This was the Vegan Plato El Grande from @fiery_deli in Robina. It came with fried plantains, black beans, fire roasted vegetables, avocado salsa, quinoa, salad, and arepa which are corn cakes made from maize.

I am sure I met my daily fibre requirements in just this meal. Adults should aim for 25-30 grams of fibre a day for best health.

This is because fibre lowers cholesterol and blood sugar levels and helps prevent bowel cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Best of all fibre helps you feel fuller for longer, helping you to eat less and maintain your weight more easily.

First off, thank you to my fellow #nlcertified alum @fitlivingeats for introducing me to @sambazon Açaí smoothie packets!  I found my @wholefoods.  They are a great base and antioxidant boost for your smoothies. •
Here are 3 tips on how to make a better açaí bowl!

1) Make it yourself!  Açaí bowls can be loaded with sugar.  I looked up the nutrition information and the ones I found from several restaurants ranged between 44-70 g of sugar per serving.  That’s more than and can of SODA.  Making your own allows you to control sugar and makes these bowls 🦷 friendly!  This bowl as only 10 g of sugar!

2.  LOAD UP ON THR VEGGIES!  I took a cue from @livlight_ And added FROZEN riced cauliflower to this Açaí bowl! It makes for the dreamiest creamy texture while adding FIBER and phytonutrients like sulforaphane which help decrease your risk for several cancers.  I also added some spinach here too. 
3.  ADD HEALTHY FATS that also contain FIBER!  Here I added ground white chia seeds.  Chia seeds are a great source of calcium, protein and fiber and Omega 3 fatty acids. Remember fiber is the fuel of choice for the health promoting bacteria of your oral and gut microbiome.  Omega 3s help fight chronic inflammation and reduce your risk for gum disease.

1/4 cup @elmhurst1925 Milked almonds 
1/4 cup @cocojune_organic coconut original yogurt 
1/2 cup FROZEN riced cauliflower 
2 tbsp ground white chia seeds @navitasorganics 
1 cup baby spinach 
2 tsp date syrup @thedatelady 
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon 
1 tsp vanilla extract 
Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth and creamy.  Add more liquid if desired.

Hazelnut espresso slice - what a treat! ❤

Made from cashews, medjool dates, espresso coffee, raw cacao, coconut milk, coconut oil and hazelnuts. So easy to make and absolutely delicious.

For many years I haven't been able to tolerate sugars (ie. cane and other refined sugars), as it resulted in immediate and severe symptoms that basically wouldn't go away. I did the @iquitsugar program back in 2014 and haven't looked back since. Savoury treats became my friend.

I've always been able to eat the natural sugars found in whole fruits though, as the body assimilates them differently - although I generally stayed away from the higher sugar fruits such as dates, pineapples and watermelons, as they could trigger a similar response to refined sugars.

Recently I've been able to eat dates and melons again (had lots of melons over the summer!), and even a small amount of raw organic honey without consequence. It's so nice to be able to enjoy these beautiful foods again - and amazing to make a chocolatey dessert only sweetened with dates, without it making me sick.

I have experienced this first hand with deadlifts when I first started out training, I was naive and focused on weight instead of form. The five students noticed that they have a problem concentrating in school when they slept near their phones the previous night so they decided to research the impact of mobile radiation on people.

But, their school did not allow them to pursue this experiment due to insufficient resources. Therefore, they decided to test the influence of Wi-Fi radiation on plants instead.

What Did the Girls Do?

They placed 6 trays of Lepidium sativum seeds in a room without radiation and the same amount in another room near two Wi-Fi routers. During 12 days, they tested, weighed, observed, and photographed the results.

💚Artichokes💚 If you've been following me for a while, by now there's no doubt in your mind that artichokes are by far one of my favourite vegetables! For both their taste and incredible health benefits, yet many have never had fresh artichokes before because they simply do not know how to prepare them.⁣

Here's how:⁣
Bring water to a boil in a pot, put in your artichokes and reduce heat. Simmer for about 25-45 minutes depending on size, until the leaves can be pulled off easily. You can add salt, lemon slices or bay leaves to the water.  Drain, let it cool and enjoy with some Celtic or Himalayan salt, melted ghee or a nice vinaigrette. Now enjoy! Don't discard the leaves, eat the tender part by simply biting on it, discard the fuzzy centre, the choke, by cutting out with a knife and enjoy the best part, the heart 💚😋. They're great as an appetizer and the added bonus is that they promote mindful eating as it's quite the feat to eat an artichoke in one gulp! 😆⁣

They're packed with phytonutrients and antioxidants such as quercentin (great to lower allergies), rutin, gallic acid and cynarin, highly beneficial for many health conditions. Artichokes help boost bile production, support detoxification, help nourish your digestive tract and restore gut health!!! ⁣
