It's humbling and a little unbelievable that in less than 24 hours I'm up to $350! I've learned several things from this: Ten dollars here and there make a huge difference, and that good people are everywhere. Even though I had a tendency to give when people needed help, I will be much more inclined to do so now that I see that every dollar DOES make a difference.
Also, I have heard some people say, when things go wrong, "Now I know who my true friends are." Well, I know who my true friends are. Everybody. Literally everybody. From people who are donating, to people who send a message of support, to people who click the "like" button just to show they're thinking of me, I have seen the best side of people through this. I have even seen the best side of total strangers who I'm friends with on Instagram (or they are friends of friends), but I've never met.
So here's a big THANK YOU to everyone helping out, or who will help out (lots of people have said "I'll help when I get paid buddy!"), or has just had kind words. I will keep y'all posted on the status of my car that YOU are helping to fix, and meanwhile, the link is in my bio!
Also, shout-out to @wintercalaway who was in San Diego and took me to lunch. It's been so great seeing you TWICE after a 15 year hiatus ❤
